Nissan Motor India Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary of Nissan Motor Company of Japan, and is a niche player in the Indian auto market. The company started its operations in India in the year 2005, with the launch of the Nissan X-Trail, which was brought to the Indian shores as a CBU. Nissans has its manufacturing plant in Chennai, capable of manufacturing 200,000 vehicles a year. The company plans to roll out the much talked about Micra supermini from the Chennai plant, which will be exported to the European countries as well. |
