Overview:Mitsubishi Pajero, Price, Reviews, Spec, Photos, Pictures, Gallery

Pajero was launched in March 2002 by Mitsubishi and its partner Hindustan Motors to grab the SUV market in India which is fit for Indian road conditions. It is designed for off-roading as well as for Tarmac. It is imported as a Completely built Unit. This diesel-driven car is featured with a powerful engine that provides good mileage and a top speed. It is spacious enough to accommodate six people and also offers comfort in the long journeys. Even for the off-road drives, Pajero is efficient. Infact it is considered as one of the best when it comes to off-roading.

Design and Features:

The exteriors look simple but attract the attention. With its body-on-frame design and huge body, it creates a royal and manly impression. The other striking exterior features of Pajero are its bumpers that seem to run across the body as if cladding, multi-reflector halogen head lamp, chromed handle, the six spoke alloy wheels and the side mirrors. The suspension system suits Indian roads.

The interiors are dual coloured and have a sporty look. The leather upholstery, the roomy cabin, comfortable and well bolstered seats, adjustable lumbar support and wood print panels are some of the impressive interior features.

The driver’s seat is height adjustable. The first and the second row seats are provided with hand rests with cup holders. The second row seats can be reclined. The second and third row seats can be completely folded for extra luggage space.

Mitsubishi Pajero is efficient for the off-road drives with its torsion plus stabilizer bar, front set up and 3-link coil spring. With a strong body, it provides stability even at higher speeds and on the highways.

Driving abilities and comfort:

Mitsubishi Pajero is designed perfectly to balance comfort, performance and safety. Riding in it is comfortable whether it is in the slow moving city traffic or on the highways. With all its features, this SUV provides a good driving experience.

The tilt adjustable power steering, electric mirror controls, air conditioning, glow adjustable meter, extendable sun visor MP3 and CD player and magazine and rear cup holders increase the comfort in traveling in this car. Provisions are created individually for all the rows to maintain uniform temperature all over.

Pajero is secured with enhanced safety features that ensure protection to the people riding in it. Some of which are its Anti-lock Braking system (ABS), child safety locks, 3-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR), collapsible steering column, driver and passenger air bags, and the traction control.

Mitsubishi Pajero is featured with 2.8L, 8-valve SOHC. This turbo charged diesel engine is capable of generating a power of 118 PS @ 4000 rpm and a peak torque of 292 Nm @ 2000 rpm. Though it is available in different, striking colours, Pajero is available in India in only one variant-Pajero SFX. Throughout the country, it bears the same price, which is around 19.80 lakhs.
